MISSION STATEMENT: Oysters Grow on Trees
Welcome to The Oyster Mangrove, a blog thats sole purpose is to map connections between place, art, and the individual. There’s a little something here for anyone who enjoys travel, poetry, flash-fiction, short stories, visual art, and dance. We will be chronicling the creative process through various media including poems, interviews, essays, fiction, hybrids, news bulletins, links, and photos/videos of places we have been that inspire our work. The creative process is often mysterious from an outsider’s point of view, at times seemingly impossible or unbelievable. It is the mission of this blog to expose this process as honestly as possible, make the intangible tangible, and provide a space in which to believe in things unseen. Just remember, oysters DO grow on trees.
